International Short Film Competition

Elisa Bonandin was born in 1990 in Rovigo and grew up in the Lower Polesine area. She began her career in animation as a model maker and assistant animator at the Framebyframe studio in Venice, which specializes in stop-motion animation. In 2020, she graduated with a specialization in 2D character animation from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Turin, co-directing her graduation film Sidèrea (which received a special mention at the 2020 Sardinia Film Festival). She works as a freelancer, primarily on music videos, short films, and TV commercials. She is a co-founder and member of the artistic collective MUTA animation; with the collective, she worked on concept design, character design, and animation for the short film The Meatseller, directed by Margherita Giusti, which won numerous awards, including the David di Donatello for Best Italian Short Film in 2024.
