Giulia Cosentino is a director and screenwriter born in Catania; she studied cinema at universities in Rome, Paris, Lisbon, and Barcelona. Specializing in archival research, she has been teaching film reuse at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia since 2020. After working as an assistant director on films by various international filmmakers, her own short films (Lui e io, 2019; Perché scappi?, 2020; Le prime volte, 2025) have been screened at numerous festivals and on various platforms; in 2022, she won the Premio Solinas for the screenplay Due amici. Her new film is currently in production.
