Massimo Benvegnù, a native of Padua and a graduate of the DAMS program at the University of Bologna, holds a long-standing, established reputation as a film programmer, archivist, and critic. The author of numerous books and essays, he has collaborated with major festivals such as Venice, Locarno, Rotterdam, and IDFA. Since 2022, he has served as co-artistic director of the Biografilm Festival in Bologna. He lives in Amsterdam, where he worked for ten years as a programmer for the Eye Filmmuseum.
