Presentation and screening of the investigative report _Acqua in bocca_ by Marianna Donadio and Dora Farina (Italy, 23 min)—winner of the 2025 Libera Giovani Award and a video investigation finalist for the 2025 Morrione Award, produced under the supervision of Cecilia Anesi.

Mara Filippi Morrione, spokesperson for the Roberto Morrione Award for Investigative Journalism, and Marianna Donadio will participate in the presentation.

Despite condemnations by the United Nations, the Israeli national water company Mekorot has established itself as a global leader in the sector. In recent years, several companies have terminated their agreements with Mekorot, following reports from numerous NGOs denouncing the exploitation of water resources in the occupied Palestinian territories. In contrast, Acea—a public water utility 51% controlled by the City of Rome—is the only company that has not withdrawn from the agreement signed with Mekorot in 2013. Requests for access to the relevant documents have proven futile; the text remains inaccessible to this day.

Nonostante le denunce delle Nazioni Unite, l’azienda idrica nazionale israeliana Mekorot si è affermata come leader mondiale nel settore. Negli ultimi anni diverse imprese hanno interrotto i propri accordi con Mekorot, sulla base dei report di numerose Ong che hanno denunciato lo sfruttamento delle risorse idriche nei territori palestinesi occupati. Acea, azienda pubblica di gestione idrica controllata al 51% da Roma Capitale, è invece l’unica a non aver fatto un passo indietro rispetto all’accordo siglato con Mekorot nel 2013. Inutili le richieste di accesso agli atti: il testo rimane tutt’oggi inaccessibile.

Premio Roberto Morrione

Built by the Venetian Pasqualigo family in the 16th century, Villa Rodella was acquired in the late 19th century by the Rodella family, originally from Asiago.
Comprising the main residence and a large *barchessa* (an arcaded outbuilding), Villa Rodella spans two floors plus a cellar level, covering a total area of ​​nearly 2,000 square meters—including a family chapel. It is set within a vast 1.3-hectare park in the heart of the Euganean Hills Regional Park.
After standing abandoned for ten years, the villa was granted under concession in 2025 by the State Property Agency (the current owner) to Fondazione Essenziale ETS. The gradual reopening of the premises began in May 2026, with the garden opened to the public on Sundays, and will continue throughout 2027.

**ACCESSIBILITY**
The 2026 event will take place in the villa's outdoor spaces, with gravel paths and lawn areas.

At the conclusion of their ten-day residency in the Euganean Hills, Margherita Bagnara, Federica Butera, Saverio Cappiello, Michele Cardano, Mounir Derbal, Erica De Lisio, Francesco Ferraris, and Egidia Morabito will present the work developed during the program, initiating a public dialogue on their research and production processes.

Euganea Film Residency is a new audiovisual training and production program dedicated to non-fiction cinema; promoted by Euganea Movie Movement, it is aimed at filmmakers under the age of 35. It is a journey of research, mentorship, and experimentation that invites young filmmakers to develop new narratives exploring the local area and contemporary life.

A conclusione dei dieci giorni di residenza trascorsi sui Colli Euganei, Margherita Bagnara, Federica Butera, Saverio Cappiello, Michele Cardano, Mounir Derbal, Erica De Lisio, Francesco Ferraris ed Egidia Morabito presenteranno lo stato dei lavori sviluppati durante il percorso, aprendo un primo confronto pubblico sui processi di ricerca e produzione.

Euganea Film Residency è il nuovo programma di formazione e produzione audiovisiva dedicato al cinema del reale, promosso da Euganea Movie Movement e rivolto a filmmaker under 35. Un percorso di ricerca, accompagnamento e sperimentazione che invita giovani autori e autrici a sviluppare nuove narrazioni del territorio e del contemporaneo.

Marco Paolini and *Atlante delle Rive* meet the artistic journeys of Maria Roveran and Giovanni Pellegrini

Water runs through the artistic work of **Marco Paolini**, **Maria Roveran**, and **Giovanni Pellegrini**. Through diverse practices—theater, music, and cinema—they have traversed the water-rich landscapes of the Veneto region, from Alpine springs and rivers to the Venetian Lagoon, exploring the relationship between ecosystems, memory, and community. Why is it necessary today to rethink our relationship with water resources, particularly in the Veneto? And what contribution can artistic practice make toward making the transformations of these landscapes tangible? Drawing on their respective bodies of work, this meeting offers a shared reflection on the bond between water and territory, demonstrating how art, science, and ecology can engage in dialogue to shape new visions and foster deeper awareness. It is a conversation in which cinema—present in various ways in the paths of all three guests—emerges as a privileged tool for observing and telling the story of the contemporary landscape.

**Marco Paolini** is a director, writer, and actor—and one of the most significant figures on the contemporary Italian cultural scene—known for combining artistic inquiry with civic engagement. Active since the 1970s, with works ranging from those dedicated to the Vajont disaster to *Mar de Molada*, he has developed an ongoing reflection on the relationship between water, territory, and community, a theme that takes shape in the *Atlante delle Rive* project.

**Maria Roveran** is an actress, musician, and performer. She has worked with directors such as Alessandro Rossetto, Mario Martone, and Giuseppe Piccioni. From the film *Piccola Patria* (2013) to the album *Come in un film* (2025), her artistic work intertwines acting, music, and sound experimentation.

**Giovanni Pellegrini** is a Venetian director and producer. With *Anguane, le voci dell’acqua* (EFF HAB), the project continues its exploration of the Veneto’s water landscapes—a journey begun with *Aquagranda in crescendo* (2017), *La città delle sirene* (2021), and *Lagunaria* (2022).

*LA FABBRICA DEL MONDO* is an interdisciplinary collective of artists and scientists established to raise awareness of the vital connection—in our current era—between waters and landscapes, and between ecologies and cultures, employing the universal language of art and theater. Born from the television program of the same name, the *Incontri della Fabbrica del Mondo* (Fabbrica del Mondo Gatherings) took shape in Montegrotto; these evolved into the *Atlante delle Rive* (Atlas of Riverbanks) project—a widespread, collaborative civic theater initiative connecting schools, theaters, and citizens to tell the story of Italy through its rivers and watersheds. This project took its first steps right here at Villa Draghi.

The event will take place on **Wednesday, September 2, at 8:30 PM** at Villa Draghi, Montegrotto Terme.

L'acqua attraversa la ricerca artistica di **Marco Paolini**, **Maria Roveran** e **Giovanni Pellegrini**. Attraverso pratiche diverse (teatro, musica e cinema), con i loro lavori hanno percorso i paesaggi d'acqua del Veneto, dalle sorgenti alpine ai fiumi, fino alla laguna veneziana, interrogando il rapporto tra ecosistemi, memoria e comunità. Perché oggi è necessario ripensare il nostro rapporto con le risorse idriche, soprattutto in Veneto? E quale contributo può offrire la pratica artistica nel renderne percepibili le trasformazioni? A partire dalle rispettive produzioni, l'incontro propone una riflessione condivisa sul legame tra acqua e territorio, mostrando come arte, scienza ed ecologia possano dialogare nella costruzione di nuovi immaginari e di una più profonda consapevolezza. Un confronto in cui anche il cinema, presente in modi diversi nei percorsi dei tre ospiti, si rivela uno strumento privilegiato per osservare e raccontare il paesaggio contemporaneo

**Marco Paolini** è regista, autore e attore, tra le figure più rilevanti del panorama contemporaneo italiano, capace di coniugare ricerca artistica e impegno civile. Attivo sulla scena dagli anni Settanta, dalle opere dedicate al Vajont fino a _Mar de Molada_, ha sviluppato una costante riflessione sul rapporto tra acqua, territorio e comunità che prende forma nel progetto Atlante delle Rive,

_LA FABBRICA DEL MONDO_ è un collettivo interdisciplinare che coinvolge artisti e scienziati nato per diffondere consapevolezza dello stretto legame in questo tempo tra acque e paesaggi, tra ecologie e culture usando la grammatica universale dell’arte e del teatro. Dall’omonima trasmissione televisiva, a  Montegrotto  hanno preso forma gli Incontri della Fabbrica del Mondo, sfociati poi nel progetto Atlante delle Rive che proprio a Villa Draghi ha mosso i primi passi: un’azione di teatro civile diffuso e corale che coinvolge scuole, teatri e cittadini in rete tra loro per raccontare l’Italia attraverso i fiumi e i bacini idrografici.

L’acqua zè morta?

This is one of the largest hillside parks in Veneto, belonging to a single property. Its forest territory extends for 32 hectares including both the neo-Gothic Villa and the rustic outbuildings restored by the Municipality of Montegrotto Terme a few years ago. The Park and the Villa are located on the slope of one of the hundred hills that characterize the Euganean Hills, 10 km from Padua and 40 km from Venice. The rustic outbuildings are located on the slopes of Monte Alto and at the entrance of the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills.

A journey into the world of **non-alcoholic fermentations** and the diverse interpretations born from the intersection of ingredients, production techniques, and research.

The experience features four artisanal products, selected to showcase how fermentation can transform and elevate various raw materials, creating unique flavor profiles.

**Funky Fermenteria** (TV) – Santonico Herbal Kombucha
A tea-free kombucha made with *santonico* (sea wormwood)—a halophytic herb native to the Venetian Lagoon—developed in collaboration with The Tidal Garden.

**Komb Wine** (VR) – Vamp Rosé
A new category of naturally non-alcoholic beverage born from the meeting of winemaking and fermentation. An experimental product made from Corvina grape must, fermented using a kombucha culture of yeast and bacteria.

**Alma Errante** (PG) – Mandarin and Mango Herbal Kombucha
A tea-free version using a dried fruit infusion to explore new aromatic possibilities. A fresh offering with citrus and tropical notes, perfect for the summer season.

**Melly’s Kombucha** (TO) – Hibiscus Flower and Raspberry Kombucha
A blend of botanicals and red fruit, where the floral notes of hibiscus merge with the freshness of raspberry, creating a balanced and harmonious flavor profile.

An experience dedicated to discovering the versatility of kombucha and the potential of fermentation as a tool to showcase ingredients, local regions, and new expressions of taste.

Villa Pisani is located in the historic center of Monselice next to the "Bisatto", a canal connecting Padua and Montagnana, once navigable. The edifice was built in the XVI century for Francesco Pisani di Zuanne (1514-1567), a noble patrician of Venice, who used it as a country house, a dwelling to stop by on the occasion of his frequent travels from and to Montagnana, where the wealthy family resided.

Exhibition of cartoons by **Mauro Biani** for the Roberto Morrione Prize investigations

The exhibition features 36 cartoons created by Mauro Biani from 2018 to the present for the Roberto Morrione Prize. This journalism competition is open to those under 30 and focuses on key issues in the political, social, economic, and cultural life of Italy and Europe—ranging from legality and human and civil rights to technological development, environmental protection, and economic activities.

An event presenting the exhibition with the artist Mauro Biani will be held at Villa Pisani on **Friday, September 4**, at **6:30 PM**.

The exhibition will be open from August 31 to September 6 during the following hours:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Wednesdays and Fridays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Saturdays and Sundays: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

La mostra si compone di 36 vignette realizzate da Mauro Biani dal 2018 a oggi per il Premio Roberto Morrione, concorso giornalistico riservato a under 30 e dedicato ai temi centrali della vita politica, sociale, economica e culturale dell’Italia e dell’Europa: dalla legalità ai diritti umani e civili, dallo sviluppo tecnologico alla tutela dell’ambiente, fino alle attività economiche. 

Venerdì 4 settembre alle ore 18:30 si terrà un incontro di presentazione della mostra con l'autore Mauro Biani, presso Villa Pisani.

La mostra si terrà presso Villa Pisani e sarà visitabile dal 31 agosto al 6 settembre con i seguenti orari:

Dal lunedì al venerdì dalle 9:00 alle 14:00.

Presentation of the book *_Padova. Guida alla selva_* (Nero, 2025) with the volume’s editors, Silvia Elena Piovan and Leonardo Mora. Moderated by Marco Milan.

Taking the Treccani dictionary definition of *selva*—a spontaneous association of trees and territory—as a starting point, *Padova. Guida alla selva* offers a fresh exploration of the city and its landscape. It invites readers to discover urban and peri-urban "wild woods" and to envision "a new alliance between the organic and the artificial, nature and society, wildness and humanity." The volume gathers research findings from the University of Padua team involved in the PRIN project "Sylva. Rethinking the *Selva*." The guide leads the reader-explorer to discover natural fragments hidden within and beyond the city limits, following routes that weave together geo-historical, architectural, botanical, and anthropological-cultural perspectives.

It is an invitation to view Padua with fresh eyes, recognizing that *bosco* (wood), *foresta* (forest), and *selva* (wild wood/thicket) are not merely synonyms, but distinct forms of relationship between nature, urban space, and society. Following volumes on Venice, Genoa, and Rome, this book concludes the series dedicated to the "wild woods" of Italian cities, published by Nero.

**Silvia Elena Piovan** is an Associate Professor of Geography at the Department of Historical, Geographical and Antiquity Sciences (DiSSGeA) at the University of Padua, where she teaches Cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

**Leonardo Mora** is a PhD candidate in Historical, Geographical, and Anthropological Studies (specializing in Geography) at the University of Padua, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, and Etra S.p.A. Società Benefit.

Presentazione del libro _**Padova. Guida alla selva**_ (Nero, 2025) con i curatori del volume Silvia Elena Piovan e Leonardo Mora. Modera Marco Milan.

Dalla definizione della Treccani di “selva” come associazione spontanea di alberi e territorio, _Padova. Guida alla selva_ propone un’esplorazione inedita della città e del suo paesaggio, alla scoperta delle “selve” urbane e periurbane e di «una nuova alleanza tra biologico e artefatto, natura e società, selvatichezza e umanità». Il volume raccoglie gli esiti delle ricerche dell’Unità di ricerca dell’Università degli Studi di Padova sviluppate nell’ambito del progetto PRIN Sylva. Ripensare la “selva”. La guida accompagna il lettore-esploratore alla scoperta di frammenti naturali nascosti dentro e oltre i confini della città, attraverso percorsi che intrecciano prospettive geostoriche, architettoniche, botaniche e antropologico-culturali. 

Un invito a guardare Padova con occhi nuovi, riconoscendo come bosco, foresta e selva non siano semplici sinonimi, ma forme diverse di relazione tra natura, spazio urbano e società. Dopo Venezia, Genova e Roma, il volume conclude la collana dedicata alle “selve” delle città italiane pubblicata da Nero.

Il meraviglioso Parco Buzzaccarini è un cuore verde di circa 35.000 mq, situato nel centro della cittadina di Monselice, sempre aperto ad ingresso gratuito. Un gruppo di volontari affiatati dal 2013 gestisce gli spazi attraverso progetti di inclusione sociale ed in sinergia con le Associazioni del territorio. Un polmone verde che abbraccia giochi per bambini, spazi sportivi, concerti di alto livello, attività per disabili ed anziani, area di sgambamento cani e bar pizzeria. The program features *Bardo* by Stefano Capodieci (2024), *Hic Sunt Leones* by Berenice Rivolta and Laura Montanari (2018), and *Laboratori dell’esistenza* by Vivien Generale (2025).

Una selezione di tre cortometraggi per raccontare i dieci anni del laboratorio **Landscape Videomaking** del Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Scienze per il Paesaggio dell’Università di Padova, un percorso didattico che esplora il documentario come strumento di lettura e narrazione del paesaggio. **Carlos Casas**, a filmmaker and visual artist, leads a masterclass dedicated to his research methodology, in which image and sound serve as tools to unlock new ways of perceiving reality.

His works originate in natural landscapes and environments that are marginal or literally unexplored, transforming them into spaces of experience where less visible relationships between the human and non-human worlds are revealed. By engaging with "other" territories, Casas creates audiovisual works that transfigure reality in pursuit of the sublime, grappling with the mystery and unsettling nature of the natural world.

This event offers an opportunity to gain deeper insight into his hybrid, multimedia practice—situated at the intersection of documentary, fiction, and visual art—and to explore how audiovisual language becomes a tool for understanding. It is a meeting with one of the most significant figures in contemporary audiovisual research, held as part of the **Euganea Film Residency** program and open to the public.

**Carlos Casas**, regista e visual artist, conduce una masterclass dedicata al suo metodo di ricerca, in cui immagine e sonoro diventano strumenti per aprire nuove forme di percezione del reale. 

Le sue opere prendono avvio da territori del mondo naturale e da ambienti marginali o letteralmente inesplorati, trasformandoli in spazi di esperienza in cui si rivelano relazioni meno visibili tra umano e non umano sulla Terra. Attraverso l’incontro con territori “altri”, Casas costruisce opere audiovisive in cui il reale viene trasfigurato alla ricerca del sublime, confrontandosi con il mistero e le inquietudini della natura. 

Un’opportunità per approfondire la sua pratica ibrida e multimediale, posizionata tra documentario, finzione e visual art, e il modo in cui il linguaggio audiovisivo diventa strumento di conoscenza. Un incontro con una delle figure più significative della ricerca audiovisiva contemporanea, inserito nel programma di **Euganea Film Residency** e aperto al pubblico.

Affronteremo temi quali l’ecologia del suono, il cinema espanso, i field recording, l’ascolto profondo e le forme contemporanee del documentario sensoriale, riflettendo su come le pratiche artistiche possano sviluppare nuovi modi di percepire e comprendere il mondo naturale. It is a profound experience designed to help you rediscover peace, connection, and inner balance, while awakening vitality and creativity.

Shinrinyoku 森林浴 - Sessione di Forest Bathing

Villa Beatrice d'Este stands on Monte Gemola, in the middle of the Euganean hills, on the ruins of an ancient Benedictine monastery. From here it is possible to enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains and the plain, up to the nearby Berici Hills and the more distant Pre-Alps.

Stop-motion workshop for ages 8 to 14.

Immersed in the beauty and nature of Villa Beatrice, we will use the magic of cinema to give eyes, mouths, and voices to everything around us.
Through a stop-motion and voice-acting workshop, we will create a short video in which plants, stones, and all the secrets inhabiting this enchanted place come to life!
