Rodrigo Mella

Rodrigo Mella is an Italian director based in London.

His first short film as a writer, Rice & Bread (2019), an existential exchange of internet sociology inside a Chinese takeaway, premiered at the London Short Film Festival in 2020 where it was nominated for Best Lo-Budget Short. The film went on to screen at PÖFF Shorts, as well as touring the UK within Tape Collective’s season on mixed heritage Where Are You Really From?

Yeah, yeah (2021), his directorial debut about a paranoid street trumpeter, followed a year later. After a successful festival run, the film found its home at Deeper Into Movies, where it is currently available on streaming.
