ORHAN Tekeoglu

BIOGRAPHY OF ORHAN TEKEOGLU-Journalist,director and academician OrhanTekeoğlu, script writer&director. Born in Trabzon.In 1983 he graduated from radio-television of Gazi University and worked as journalist for 25 years. He established Medya Ton with Dr. Nurdan Tekeoğlu to make the documentary called İFAKAT with TRT,state TV channel award at the documentary competition. In 2013 he finished his first feature film “ I LOVED YOU SO MUCH” after 3 years. The feature was accepted to official programs of Moskow Film Festival, Kyiv IFF Molodist and many others and won best foreign film awards from Canada Film Festival and Portobello Film Festival. In 2016 he directed EXTRAORDINARY PEOPLE and co-directed RUDOLF NUREYEV:ISLAND OF HIS DREAMS with EvgeniaTirdatova. He fınıshed,TIME TO LEAVE, a new documentary wıth the support of theTurkısh Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2019 with Honourable Meniton from 4.Beyond Borders Documentary Film Festival. In 2020 he directed 7 KYBELES and UNTOLD STORY OF FATMA KAYACI in 2022 with TRT Documentary award. His last documentary is SHATTERED. He is teaching film at Istanbul Esenyurt University.
