A project curated by Pordenone Docs Fest and Trento Film Festival
in collaboration with Euganea Film Festival
Euganea Film Festival takes part in a new project curated by Pordenone Docs Fest and Trento Film Festival, a workshop consulting and accompanying medium-length and feature-length documentaries produced in the North-East during their final stage.
A journey that crosses three regions Venezia Giulia, Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto, and the protagonists are works in the editing phase, documentaries and hybrids, produced in these regions and with a final length of over 45 minutes. An opportunity to relate with experts in the sector who, through workshops and meetings, will help directors and producers in the various areas, from directing to editing, from post-production to finalisation and from festivals to distribution.
A call for filmmakers and producers who will have until 5 February 2023 to send in their projects, the partner festivals will select four that will undertake a path of feedback and tutoring, with the aim of consolidating the film's dramaturgy and broadening its dissemination and distribution.
The first stage of the pathway will be at the Pordenone Docs Fest, (30 March - 31 March), and will include, after a private viewing, the evaluation and discussion of the complete rough-cut, or of individual pre-edited scenes, in the presence of four film-masters who will give guidance to the film's producer and director.
The second appointment will be held at the Trento Film Festival (30 April - 1 May), where a pitch reserved for a selected audience of producers, buyers, distributors, exhibitors, and representatives of festivals, broadcasters, and platforms will be organised, during which a presentation will be made supported by the viewing of some scenes of the film. Afterwards, individual appointments will be organised with the professionals present.
The third and final stage will be at the Euganea Film Festival, scheduled between 21 June and 2 July, with a workshop divided into two phases. The first will include talks by experts in the fields of promotion, distribution, marketing, communication, and festivals, for all films and their teams. In the second phase, there will be work, consultancy, and planning sessions specific to each of the projects.
