Deep in the Vosges forests, home to lynxes, deer, owls and capercaillies, Vincent Munier, following The Velvet Queen, pays tribute to the visual splendour of nature and the poetry of its sounds. It is here that, thanks to his father Michel, a naturalist, he learned everything he knows: the art of waiting, observing, and wonder. Now, it is time to pass this knowledge on to Simon, his son.
Through a refined work on image and sound, Whispers in the Woods invites us to rediscover a deeper dimension of vision: that of the child, capable of being amazed by what is unknown, of welcoming the presence of the other (human and non-human), and of entering into a relationship with the world through curiosity, listening, and patience.
Vincent Munier is a wildlife photographer and filmmaker. He has received numerous awards at the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. His unique vision of the natural world, together with his passion and authenticity, has captivated audiences worldwide. As a filmmaker, he has directed several documentaries, winning the César Award for Best Documentary twice: in 2022 for The Velvet Queen and in 2026 for Whispers in the Woods.
