Valentina And The Muosters
80 min
The documentary explores the complex reality of Niscemi, Sicily, a territory marked by environmental degradation and the military presence of the MUOS (Mobile User Objective System), a massive satellite communications system serving the US military. Through the eyes of Valentina’s family, the film tells a story of emancipation and gentle rebellion. What shape do contemporary monsters take? Sometimes they are invisible, like the electromagnetic waves that envelop places, people, and Southern Italy, facing an alarming situation.
