In Cambodia, Neang, an indigenous mother, strives to rebuild her life after her village was flooded by a dam reservoir. Despite pressure from the government and industries to abandon her ancestral land, Neang fights to keep her community together and preserve her roots. Through memories, daily gestures, and a deep connection with nature, the film tells a story of female resilience and resistance, marked by the transition from a collective, land-rooted culture to an increasingly individualistic and capitalist society.
