Billy and Pot live in a black-and-white world where nature seems to have become a distant concept, a memory extracted from animated films, computer screensavers, and stories from the past. Only their fantasies are still in color: singing mountains, loving flowers, and crying horses. Trees and Other Birds is an absurd and critical ode to the deeply human ways of imagining and representing nature. In a future where humanity has become disconnected from the natural world, the film questions what remains of our visions, our dreams, and the images through which we have shaped landscapes and other living beings.
