<p>Starting from a series of quotes from the Kanun, the traditional behavioral rules that still govern social life in rural areas, the triptych explores the mountain village of Rabdisht. With particular attention to the condition of women and her role as a foreign filmmaker, Uman closely observes Albanian society. The result is a clever, adventurous, and sincere work that simultaneously straddles the realms of ethnography and experimental cinema.</p> <p>ITALIAN PREMIERE</p>
<p>Naomi Uman lives in Mexico City. She has made twenty films, screened at various festivals and museums, which primarily focus on the role of women and handiwork. In her works, Uman explores and questions the role of the director in reality-based cinema.</p>
