The Good Omen
13 min
A stone lies in a dry, forsaken soil on the outskirts of Barcelona, in the middle of a mountain that is no longer a mountain. A group of women covers it with a red shroud. Thousands of years ago this place was used for leaving offerings and making sacrifices to ask for good omens. The stone remembers the last shepherd in the area, the only one who visited it, before he wandered off with his sheep. Over the course of an endless summer, a sudden visit alters the stone’s existence. A symbiosis occurs amid the ever-nearing chimes of change on the mountain overlooking the city.
