In the North, winter is approaching. Bear thinks of her friend Bird who migrated south. Instead of hibernating like she does every year, she decides to travel the world to join him. This long journey through frightening or wonderful landscapes will give Bear the opportunity to experience the strength of her love, and a new taste for the unknown. A refined animation, illuminated by magical and surreal flashes, stages a parable of love and cohabitation, through the classic topos of the journey.

Marie Caudry has illustrated numerous children's books, most of them written by her long-time partner, Gauthier David. With The Bear and the Bird she made her first animated short film, produced by Miyu.
