Synopsis

Monolithic power plants; billowing columns of smoke; the backdrop of a red sun. Sirens is an experimental documentary that portrays coal-fired power plants in Germany during their final years of energy production. Shot entirely from helicopters, the film takes us on a journey through desolate industrial landscapes, reminiscent of Ulysses' boat passing through the strait of the Sirens.
