Young graduate Lisa Bentini gets her first substitute teaching job in a middle school in Bologna. In Naples, teacher Silvana De Fazio prepares her last class for her high school graduation before retiring. Professor Dario Tulipano, a precarious worker from Palermo, moves to Bolzano for an annual substitution. Born out of the director's own teaching experience, Signori professori interweaves three different experiences to recount the world of school from the side of the professors, between expectations and fulfilment, vocation and frustration, passion and bewilderment.
