Synopsis

It is late at night when Etna begins to erupt. A researcher decides to reach the summit crater to collect a testimony: he is convinced that the volcano is trying to tell him something. With happy economy of means, Palella sets up in just three minutes an evocation that is as infernal as it is hypnotic: a dense blackness ripped open by the red glow of fire, evoking legends of the past and mysterious disappearances - such as that of physicist Ettore Majorana - that cast their restless shadows over a future that is now as near and threatening as ever.
