Inspired by the work of Russian artist and writer Efim Chestnyakov, Shablovsky Tarantass tells the utopian transformation of the village of Shablovo into a city of the future. At the centre of this change is the construction of a giant tarantas, a collective project involving the entire community. Through a visual style inspired by Chestnyakov’s artistic universe, the film celebrates the power of shared imagination and the possibility of building new worlds together.

Natalya Kharina is a Russian animation director, production designer and animator. Active in animation since the 1990s, she has worked on several films and TV series. Oleg Veselov is an animation screenwriter and director.
