Rana Rachid

Rana Rachid an artist and storyteller, was born in a small village in the south of Lebanon. Has a BA in Cinema and Television from the Lebanese University and a Master’s degree in 2D/3D Animation from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts. She’s a versatile Animator with experience in stop motion, 2D and 3D animation. Rana directed and animated two short films: the latest being “Touched”, which received the Best Animation Award both at Tripoli Film Festival 2024 and FILUMS International Film Festival 2025 and got selected by festivals like Animatex 2025 and ISFF Detmold 2024. The second short animation by Rana was an experimental environment short film called “Filthy”, which was selected and shown in several festivals like Festival Court Mais Bon 15th edition, Sikka Art and Design Festival 10th edition in Dubaï, Reef short film festival 2021 and Beirut Animated 2021. Additionally, Rana was one of the directors of the Maskoon Film Festival 2022 official trailer.
