Leon Harms

During his bachelor's degree in philosophy at the University of Hamburg, Leon Harms already focused on the aesthetics of film, among other things. In Leipzig, he worked as a production assistant for Ma.ja.de. Fiction on an international co-production. At LOOKSfilm, Leon was able to gain experience in the field of content development for documentaries and worked in the production team for a Netflix documentary series. Since 2020 he has been studying at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, spent a semester at La Fémis in Paris and a semester in Tel Aviv as a scholarship holder of the Baden-Württemberg Foundation. As a producer, he was responsible for the production of ten short films during his studies, which were shot in France, Israel, Palestine, Tanzania and Germany. He is currently in production of the feature-length documentary EASTKIDS, which is being made in co- production with ZDF “Das kleine Fernsehspiel” and was part of the Doc Station at Berlinale Talents 2024. In addition, Leon Harms is accompanying the development of a diploma feature film. Since 2023, he has been immersing himself in International Producing in order to be involved in international co-productions in the future. He is a VFF scholarship holder and a participant at Berlinale Talents 2025.
