Synopsis

In southern Portugal, in the Algarve region, live the percebes, rare crustaceans with a primordial appearance and powerful claws that cling to the cliffs battered by the Atlantic Ocean. These extraordinary creatures are at the heart of the animated documentary, which investigates the relationship between nature and humans in a land marked by growing and often invasive tourism. Through the lives of the percebes, the film explores the tensions between conservation, economic exploitation, and environmental impact, highlighting the fragility of a threatened ecosystem.
