In Dark Globe, the human being appears as a mutated creature, turned into a machine of systematic destruction and self-destruction. With a visionary and hypnotic style, Donato Sansone crafts an animated collage that blends irony and anguish, evoking a world on the brink of collapse. Humanity seems trapped in a dystopian nightmare with no way out. Yet, through the cracks of devastation, a question emerges: is hope still possible, or are we witnessing our end?
Donato Sansone is an Italian animator, director, and visual artist. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples and the Experimental Film Center in Turin.
