<p>Alma, a solitary refugee child, is thrust back into her traumatic past when her doll falls into the swimming pool, mirroring the shipwreck of the refugee boat where she was the lone survivor. Luna, her savior, steps in to help her overcome her trauma and rebuild her life.</p>
<p>Lorena Ares and Carlos F. De Vigo co-manage the Dr. Platypus & Ms. Wombat studios. Carlos’ debut feature is the 2D animated film <em>Memoirs of a Man in Pajamas</em>, nominated for the Goya and Platino Awards, among others, and winner of the Gaudí Award. He is the director and writer of the animated short film <em>Morti</em>, with over 20 selections. Carlos has contributed to more than a dozen feature films. <br>Lorena has worked as an animator on films such as <em>Midnight’s Summer Dream,</em> <em>The Spirit of the Forest </em>and <em>Holy Night!</em>. Her debut film, <em>Hanna and the Monsters</em> has received Goya and Gaudí nominations. Together, they directed <em>It Dawns the Longest Night</em> nominated for the Goya and winner of the Biznaga de Plata at the Málaga Film Festival. </p>
