Aralkum is a cinematic kaleidoscope of a desert landscape that used to be a lake. The surreal flickering of the Aral desert transforms into the waves of the former Aral Sea. The sand becomes water. An old man becomes a fisherman once again.

Mila Zhluktenko was born in Ukraine. She studied at University of Television and Film, Munich. Her films have been screened at numerous film festivals.

Daniel Asadi Faezi born in Germany. He studied at University of Television and Film, Munich and National College of Arts Lahore, Pakistan. Besides directing, he produces documentary and experimental cinema.
