Felix, a young, melancholic, secretive shepherd, leads a timeless life. He lives alone and works alongside his father to raise the family herd. From autumn to spring, he looks after his animals, feeds them, and keeps them in the dense forests of holm oaks of French Pre-Alps. In the sum- mer, he travels on foot for more than two hundred kilometers, leaving his father to lead the herd to the mountains pastures, in the High Alps Ubaye valley. There, he lives far from every- thing for many long months, in a mineral and inaccessible world where an invisible being pro- wls: the wolf

Louis Hanquet is born in France. During his teenage, discovered photography and regularly visited the far- mers who work around his father's house to photograph them. After studying in Buenos Aires and in Paris, he assisted Sébastien Lifshitz in the shooting of his last two films ( Adolescents and Petite fille ). He’s the di- rector of photography for several festival-awarded documentaries.
